A family's love for one another is a beeeeeeeeeeeeeuuutiful thing!

Eylo.....!  =)

Tai here.

This is my mission statement for this website.  I'm creating this photo album to help us keep track of our favorite family photos and to share our memories with friends and relatives all over the world.  Ummmmmmm... maybe not the entire world, but it doesn't hurt to be ambitious right?  =)

Look hard, some of you may even find pictures of yourselves here!

Chao cac anh em,

This website has a lot of potential.  As it begins to develop, I hope to post pictures of each family on the site so that any member of our fabulous clan can view them via the internet!  We'll start with the top of the hierarchy, then move downwards.  This means that in the near future, you can expect to see pictures of grandpa and grandma on the site, then those of Bac Hai Sam's family, then O Ba's, Bac Tu's, Bac Nam's, my dad's, and so on and so forth.  Perhaps even uncle Joel's family.

It's like a big family tree / photo album!  Muuuuuhahahaaha!  (evil laugh)

It'll be fun to chuckle at our old photos.  C'mon... who wouldn't want to see Tai's George Washington hair when he was a tiny baby!  And I'm pretty sure we all have bathtub photos.  Muuuhahahaha!  (an even greater evil laugh)

On a serious note.  This summer will mark the 20th year that our family have been in the United States, and the reason why I'm doing this is to honor our grandparents.  I want to present this website to them as a token of my love and gratitude for their sacrifices.  I want them to see the fruits of their labor.  They are living their dreams through all of us, and it would be a shame if we don't acknowledge them at their age.  More importantly, I want them to see the progress that we've all made as 1.5 and 2nd generation immigrants.

I also cherish our family's rich history, and I truly believe that an album like this can only draw us all closer together.  It'd be interesting to see how our families have transformed over the years as we've assimilated into the American culture. With everyone's blessing, I intend to post pictures starting with our parent's roots in Vietnam.  Who knows?  Some of you probably don't even know how your parents look like when they were young!

Then we'll move on to the refugee camps, Oregon, pictures from our old Castro Valley church, ..... eventually leading up to today.  My goal is to keep this website updated annually so that our family's progress can be continually monitored.  This is only the beginning.

This big project will link our families together... FOREVER!  Muhaa...a.....a. (no more evil laugh)

I think it is about time we make use of the technology that surrounds us.  So to all you college and high school students out there!  I'm going to need your support and help!  Together, WE CAN DOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT! =)

Okay, that's enough cheese for today.

Much love,

Tai
